It’s been a very long time for all of us since we were able to dress up and go out to party. Ashlie Atkinson however shows us that you don’t need a party or any big event for that matter to dress up. She decided to wear a sequin full-length gown to get her Covid vaccination and Twitter is loving it.
1. Ashlie tweeted the following after getting ready for her vaccination.
Wearing a sequined full-length gown to my vaccine appointment because it’s the EVENT OF MY YEAR pic.twitter.com/zkqxT8KvME

2. Before posting some more evidence, she highlights some of her accessories.
Also, my dress is doing a lot of the heavy lifting but my vintage earrings from my Mom (that I think were my Mimmaw’s) and my mask from Jen Williams are the secret weapons pic.twitter.com/egRqphdrr8

3. And here it is: PROOF!

4. Soon people started sharing the outfits of their own vaccination.
Was just looking at green dresses and wanted to buy one but not knowing where I could wear it, I decided against it. So yeah, your post inspired me to buy this and use the pockets for confetti at my big V appointment 😌 pic.twitter.com/om6nmsgBPu

5. And many more compliments follow.
This is brilliant! I’ve missed getting dressed up for special occasions and this most certainly qualifies. I love your glamorous look.

Well I think this needs to be a new trend! Congratulations on your award…I mean vaccine!

6. And like this person says, the vaccinators would probably love this too.
Love this idea. I think it should be taken up by everybody, it would also brighten up those delivering the vaccine.

7. And that turns out to be very true.
I am a vaccinator and seeing this would make me soooo happy! Thanks for bringing some joy today!

Fabulous! I’m a nurse currently working at vaccination centres, I’ve had ladies wearing their Sunday best, new tops, men wearing new short sleeved shirts but no evening gowns yet! 😊👏💉
